Jeremy and I don’t like to make huge plans for Valentine’s Day. Instead, we generally go on an epic walk, or hit a non-fancy restaurant that we’ve been meaning to try, or just use the holiday as an excuse to spend time enjoying each other’s company. We don’t usually exchange gifts, but, when I got the idea to embroider new handkerchiefs to replace his well-loved (read: completely disgusting) old ones, I couldn’t resist.
For the mustache, I used one of Jenny Hart’s (Sublime Stitching) patterns from her free patternset.
To make the bicycle, I googled “bicycle symbol” and resized the bicycle outline used for street signs.
The bacon (yuck) design came from Jenny Hart’s book, Sublime Stitching: Hundreds of Hip Embroidery Patterns and How-To.
Jeremy showed his excitement by posing with the ‘stache:
(For the record, my Valentine’s Day treat was a vegan hot fudge sundae from Lulu’s Sweet Apothecary.)
