This afternoon, I finally had the chance to sit down and get to know my new sewing machine. After some hesitation and false starts on my part (I’m not used to my sewing machine being able to draw up its own thread!), I tested out a variety of stitches, made some buttonholes, and started to get comfortable with the new machine.
My verdict: I never knew sewing could be so easy! I have been babying my finicky 1970s manual machine for so long, that it hadn’t occurred to me how nice it might be to concentrate on my sewing projects, not whether or not my machine would continue to behave properly from moment to moment. Huzzah, Brother CS6000i!
